My first try at the one inch squares that are popular right now. My backgrounds are scraped paint. The text is either from an old French-English dictionary, or from Virgil's Aenid; a 1917 edition that has the Latin with English translation underneath.

This is another button ornament. I actually sold three of these to an art friend in New York. That was pretty thrilling for me!

Here is a sample of some charms I have made for a swap. They are made from shrink plastic that was embossed and molded before drying. I then painted each charm and added a translucent gold glitter. I painted them with Lumiere and/or Pearlescent acrylic paints. Now to make more since there are 26 of us in the swap! The swap is for the arttechniques yahoo group of which I am a co-owner.

This is a "Nestling." I found an idea similar to this in the Somerset Workshop 2 book, and did my own take on it. I thought it would be a cute ornament. Can't wait to make more!

An encaustic collage done at a class at our local JC. I used clear and colored wax along with images from calendars and old text. I call this piece, "Wings and Roses."

I had fun yesterday going back to some photos I took a while ago and tweaking the color and focus on them. It is always nice when I get a chance to play with my Elements program.

This is another shot taken at the Garden Shed in Cambria, CA. I tweaked the color a bit and also gave it a softer focus.
