By Sherre

Blue Hydrangea Photo turned into woodcut.
By Sherre

A cropped part of a photo that I used the Posterize effect on. it looks similar to the woodcut effect. Taken at Cambria, CA.
By Sherre

This is a 4 x 4 page for a color swap. It uses foil with alcohol inks, copper mesh, and embellishments. One embellishment is an antique square nail.
By Sherre

An ATC for a metallic swap. It has copper mesh in the leaf opening. The background is aluminum foil that has been painted with alcohol inks.

This was an iron garden art piece of a woman painting. Wouldn't she be fun to have in your garden? I turned the photo into a "painting." It does make a difference to re-size your images if they are large. Smaller images are more impressionistic.
By Sherre

The same picture as previous, this one transformed into a "painting."
By Sherre

A scene from the Garden Shed in Cambria; cropped and the sketch effect applied.
By Sherre

Here is a sample of turning a photo into a puzzle with a twist. One piece is removed and placed at an angle. This is a photo of the Tourist Charlie Statue.

Another Woodcut style photo. Sea Ranch, CA.

Second in this series. Again, a 4 x 6 card.
By Sherre

One of a series of 3 cards for a 4 x 6 card swap. The theme was "words." So, I chose "the Word made flesh" as my theme. Trying to incorporate my faith more into my work.

I can see that the pictures I thought had clogged my blog are now on there; making duplicate showings. Sorry about that! I don't have perfect grasp of the blog system. That and the typos- I get typing too fast. I find I am a dyslexic typist! I hope you can look past the goofs and enjoy the art anyway!!

An impressionistic Japanese Maple tree displaying its fall color.
By Sherre

More wisteria leaves. Again, a so-so photo made more interesting.
By Sherre

A wisteria leaf in sunlight.
By Sherre

Japanese Maple Leaves. I cropped this image after doing the painting technique on it.
By Sherre

This technique works really well even with those pictures that weren't so great on their own. I am re-sizing the images to smaller for more of an impressionistic look.
By Sherre

I took this photo in 2001 with a regular 35 mm camera. It was saved as a small file, so is very impressionistic with this technique.
By Sherre

A bearded iris using this same technique.
By Sherre
The smaller the file, the more "painterly" the photos look.
By Sherre

A close-up photo of my fountain; painted with Adobe.
By Sherre

Here is yet another rose from my garden; painted by Adobe!
