The beautiful turquoise waters at the Hilton Waikoloa, Hawaii.
By Sherre

Wouldn't you like to take a book and just stay here for the afternoon?
By Sherre

A dreamy sunset shot where I changed the colors to a purple cast.
By Sherre

Made the colors a bit more intense in this shot.
By Sherre

By Sherre

A lovely sunset shot that has had the color tweaked using Elements 4.

"Come What Come May" from Shakespeare. This sentiment means a lot to me this month.
By Sherre

A baby cab card. Found the text for this one in an old library sale book. The text was being used as a bookmark and had been left in the book I was looking through. This card is a bit busy; I like the simpler ones more.
By Sherre

This photo of a young man made me think of a character of a gentleman. Hopefully that is what this young man grew up to be.
By Sherre

Another altered cabinet card. I have used this same image in an earlier card. I find it interesting that by changing her eyes, she became a different character altogether.

This crane was on a little island in the Ocean Tower part of the Hilton Waikoloa.
By Sherre

This house and pool were right next door to our complex. Nice! The ocean was just to the right of the pool.
By Sherre

The pool right below our lanai. We had the complex mostly to ourselves. That was great!
By Sherre

Hawaiian sunset.
By Sherre

I love this sunset shot.
By Sherre

One of the friendly geckos we saw. Two lived on the car we were driving around town. One evening as we drove to dinner, one rode on the hood of the car and the other rode on the side mirror. Crazy!

Bird of Paradise Flower.
By Sherre

This is a shot of a sunset with an Hawaiian altar silhouetted against it.

More sunset views. Again, taken from the condo balcony.
By Sherre

Sunset-Hawaii style!
By Sherre

Another sunset shot.
By Sherre

A sunset as seen from the upper balcony of the condo where we stayed the majority of our trip.
By Sherre

Another shot of the same sunset.
By Sherre

A lovely sunset in Hawaii.
By Sherre

These foliage plants had such pretty multi-colored leaves.
By Sherre

One of the many, many hibiscus flowers we saw.
By Sherre

Another shot from the helicopter. You can see Maui in the distance on the right.
By Sherre

A shot from our helicopter ride showing where the hot lava was running into the sea.
By Sherre

Another shot of the Hilton Waikoloa. We used the kayaks here and also snorkeled in this saltwater lagoon.
By Sherre

Here is a shot from the Hilton Waikoloa where we stayed a couple of days.

My latest altered cabinet card. Again, a copy was used and attached to a cardstock foundation. This one is entitled, "Blanche Lets Loose Her Inner Diva". Layers of ink, paint, rubber stamping, punchinella, butterfly wings, and metal and rhinestone embellishments complete her look.
By Sherre

My second altered cabinet card. A friend gave me the caption of "Edward Suddenly Realized That Time Had Grown Wings".
By Sherre

My first altered cabinet card. i used a computer copy of a picture I got off the internet. I would hate to alter an actual card. I attached a copy to 2 pieces of cardstock. After vacation I will cut some mat board to use for the foundation. This lady wasn't too pretty, so I decided to emphasize the quality of inner beauty.

I took the photo of the snapdragon outside of my favorite art gallery in Cambria, CA. I then fiddled with the colorization of the photo, added a scrolly brush effect to the edges and then added a favorite quotation.
By Sherre

I took this shot at the Garden Shed, a nursery and gardening store in Cambria, CA. I love to take photos in their outdoor area behind the shop. I added a "film grain" filter.
By Sherre

Here is a delightful scene from the garden at the Apple Farm in San Luis Obispo. This is right outside of the restaurant. I added a "fresco" filter to this shot.

I wanted to post this ATC again because I was surprised to receive the summer 2006 issue of Somerset Studio's Gallery book/mag and be told that this ATC had been chosen to be published. I was very pleased with this news!
